Christmas Gifts and Packaging Class

I wanted to share what I am offering in my class on Sunday, Dec 13.  There is still room for two more people in the class.  If interested in attending leave a message below.

This gift card holder box was modified from the original by Brenda Quintana found HERE.  I made my box large enough to hold six Hershey Nuggets and added a small fold in the green cardstock to hold the chocolates in place.

The candy canes were made by cutting a red foil and a glimmer paper candy cane. I cut the glimmer paper candy cane into sections and glue every
other piece onto the red foil one.  I made the Peppermint Sugar Scrub too!  I just mixed 1/2 cup of Coconut Oil, 1 cup of sugar and 10 drops of Peppermint essential oil. It's that easy.

One More Christmas Card

My card today is inspired by THIS project made by Heather Klump. I couldn't get as much detail and depth on my A2 size card so I think a complete "CASE" is in my future!

The first card will be entered in the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge, Cardmakers Choice.  You can find that challenge HERE.  The second card was my daughter's favorite version (I like the sparkle too!) so I'm including that one in this post.

Fireside or Window?

I created these cards last week for a Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge but failed to get it entered on time.  I still wanted to get this posted because it is one of the cards I'm offering at my Christmas Cards class next week.

I couldn't decide if I liked the kitty better at the fireside or the window so everyone at the class can choose which they would rather make. The fireplace image was stamped on Cajun Craze cardstock.  When cutting it out I shortened the fireplace by a couple bricks because I didn't want to hang stockings from the mantle and I didn't want there to be a big empty area above the fire.

Here is the Sweet Sunday Sketch sketch I used...

And here are my cards....

Vintage Sled

I wanted to play with my new sled die again and thought it would be fun to try a vintage look.  I remember a few years ago the Stampin' Up! catalog and overall look was very "vintagy". Vintage is not my normal style so I had to look back and get some inspiration on Pinterest with a search for the retired Deck the Halls Designer series paper.....and BAM!  There it was, tons of vintage inspiration!  I thought the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches lends it's self perfectly for my attempt at vintage.

Christmas Time Is Here...

Well, not quite Christmastime but this card makes me think of A Charlie Brown Christmas.  Particularly the scene when Charlie Brown and Linus go shopping for a Christmas tree and the tree lot is filled with oddly colored, artificial Christmas trees.

This card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. The matting for the trees and the sentiment I made with my wonderful and amazing Brothers Scan n Cut!

I'm going to donate this card to MD Anderson Cancer Center so I am entering again in the HTCCT challenge No Extra Postage.
