Bloomin' Silver Hearts

Here is a a card I made for SUO challenges found HERE.  I wanted to make a Valentine card for my husband so this is my attempt to make the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit less "bloomy!"

I only cut about 1/4 of the heart Thinlit on my back card by placing the top cutting pad on only the portion of the die I wanted to cut. I then trimmed the rest away with an X-acto knife and ruler.  I cut a full Real Red Bloomin' Heart and layered that slightly offset to allow some of the Basic Black heart to show.

Bloomin' Heart

Almost a full month into the new year and I've finally back at trying my hand at some challenges.  This card was made for the sketch challenge at Paper Players found HERE and the tic tac toe challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper found HERE.  For the tic tac toe challenge I went with the die cut/love/arrow line.

Before cutting the Glimmer Paper I pulled off the back layer of the paper to make it less stiff. After it's cut it curls slightly which can look very pretty with a delicate cut like this one. I layered the heart, slightly offset, on a Rose Red die cut to give it even more dimension. The edges of the glimmer paper were not glue down so they would lift off of the card a bit.
