Water Lillies Thanks

I made this card following the "case the designer" challenge at Global Design Project found HERE.  I "cased" Michelle's layout and had intended to make mine clean and simple but I have a hard time keeping white space white!  This card was made with the same stamp set as my previous post but this time I just did the multi layering stamps, no color pencils.

Happy Birthday Water Lilly

This card was created for the sketch challenge at The Paper Players found HERE. I have finally inked up a Hero Arts stamp set I got several months ago and I tried out a new technique.  These stamps are multi layering stamps but I only used two layers of stamps.  I stamped with two light pink colors and used those colors to get a sense of the outline and shading of the water lilly.  Then I colored in the flower with color pencils.....time consuming but fun! The Lilly pads were just stamped and the water streaks were created swiping my ink pad using a direct to paper technique.

Wishing You Brighter Days

I used inspiration from two challenges for this card.  The sketch is from Try Stampin' On Tuesday blog found HERE. The color inspiration was found at Hand Stamped Sentiments blog HERE.  Thank goodness for the creative people who come up with the sketches and color combos.  Without those imaginative people I would just sit at my desk, stare at my craft supplies and eat chips.

Stampin' Up Stylish Stems

Here at is a card I will be offering at my next card class that was completely inspired by the challenge at TGIF Challenges found HERE.

The challenge was to choose a designer's card to CASE and I choose this card from Carolynn Sanders.

I used the card layout and I love her colors and took inspiration from that.

Sparkly Daisy

Here is a card I made for two challenges, a color challenge at Color Throwdown and a sketch challenge at Mojo Monday.

I made the focal element by die cutting the daisy tag and gluing it to a piece of Stampin' Up's Window Sheet. I turned the piece over and colored the back side with Sharpies.  A generous layer of Crystal Effects was spread over the back side and Dazzling Diamonds glitter was sprinkled over top.  A piece of tissue paper was put on top of the glitter and on top of that a piece of white cardstock.  When all of the layers dried I carefully trimmed away the excess Window Sheet, tissue and cardstock using the tag edge as my guide.

I love the bright, happy colors and the gorgeous sparkle!
