In The Meadow

Just a quick post to get my card in for The Paper Players challenge ending in a few hours!  The challenge is to use a wild animal on a clean and simple (CAS) card.  You can see the challenge HERE.

The awesome faux wood panel was created using a technique found HERE.  Thank you Karen D. for sharing your wood panel technique! I initially followed Karen's technique using the Distress Inks but found that I could get good results using Stampin Up! retired linen ink pads.  I didn't try it with the current firm foam pads as I didn't think they would slide across the paper without possible damage. That did limit my ink selection but that will change next month with the new SU! catalog when I can buy their uninked felt ink spots and make my own ink pads.

If you want to make this card and live in the Geneva, Il vicinity, I will be offering this card at my next Card Buffet Class.  Let me know if you want more information.

STAMPS: In The Meadow, misc. Happy Birthday stamp
INK: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Mossy Meadow
PAPER: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
OTHER: Score Board, Elmers Glue, Hemp Twine
