Stampin' Up! Flower Patch

One card, two challenges, two variations.  Love this fun sketch from Mojo Monday and I used the beautiful color combo from the Color Q challenge. For the first card I added Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.  I liked this first card but wanted to go back and make another one that better fit the color challenge. I changed the Pear Pizzazz to gold embossing and added a bit more pizzazz in the way of butterflies and gold brads.  The Mojo Monday sketch #355 can be found HERE And the Color Q challenge #251 HERE

Stampin' Up! Perfect Peacock

Here is this weeks submission for Freshly Made Sketches challenge found HERE. I took some liberties with this sketch because I really wanted to use my new Perfect Peacock stamp.  Instead of making the circle element the point of interest I made the background the focus.  The peacock was colored with Blendabilities markers and the color lifter.......it took a bit of time but it was fun!

INK:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Cherry Cobbler
PAPER: Old Olive, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight
OTHER:  Blendabilities Markers in Old Olive, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Smokey Slate, and the Color Lifter, 1/2" circle punch, Floral Frames Framelits, 1/4" cotton ribbon in Whisper White and colored with the medium Night of Navy Blendabilities marker

Stampin' Up! Kind Koala

I'm playing with some new goodies from the newest SU! Catalog and getting another challenge submission posted. This card sketch challenge comes from Create with Connie & Mary website found HERE.

I knew I wanted to put the Kind Koala stamp as the focus in place of the balloons, but when I placed it on a 4 ¼" x 5 ½" card the Koala was swallowed up by the card.  So, I changed the card size to 3½ " x 5" and now Mr. Koala looks snug as a bug.

STAMPS: Kind Koala
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black, Smoky Slate And Blush Blendabilities, Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry and Basic Gray marker
PAPER: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Flowerpot DSP
OTHER:  Little Letters Thinlits, Blushing Bride ¼" cotton ribbon, Dazzling Details

Paper Vases

Back again with a new challenge entry, this time for The Paper Players challenge #202 found HERE   The challenge is to create a project that has three elements in a row from the Tic Tac Toe board.

My three elements are Ribbon or Twine, Patterned Paper, and Embossing.

Everything is pretty easy to figure out.  One thing that may not be apparent is that the vases are actually colored with Pool Party embossing powder.  I pressed a Versamark pad on a piece of Whisper White CS then coated it with Pool Party embossing powder and heated.  Then I stamped the vases with StazOn onto the cooled embossing. They were then cut out and glued onto the main stamped panel.

STAMPS:  Vivid Vases,  Lots of Thanks
INK:  Black StazOn, Versamark, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Wonder Wisteria, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Pear Pizazz
PAPER: Early Espresso, Pear Pizazz,  Melon Mambo, Whisper White,  Gingham Garden DSP
OTHER:  Early Espresso 1/4" cotton ribbon, Finial Press EF,  corner rounder, Pool Party embossing powder, white embossing powder

Red, White and Blue

Here is my submission for the Pals Paper Arts challenge blog found HERE.  I turned the sketch on its side and it made me think of the U.S. flag. I immediately decided to make the flag stripes out of the Hardwood stamp or the Chevron stamp. After stamping the Hardwood  I felt like it needed to be "grunged" up which led to more and more grunge-ing!  I kept the Chevron stripes flag clean and simple and ended up with two different looks.  I'm not sure which I like more, what do you think?

STAMPS: Hardwood, Chevron background, Dot, Dot, Dot (retired), misc celebrate stamp
INK: Real Red, Pacific Point, Soft Suede, Whisper White
PAPER: Real Red, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper,
OTHER:  Arrows EF, square Lattice EF, 1 3/4" circle punch, star punches, linen thread, silver bakers twine (the silver filament only), Bitty Banners Framelits
