Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty, Little Ball of Fur....

Here is my card that was inspired by Try Stampin' On Tuesday's sketch that can be found HERE

I saw this darling Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and just had to order. It made me think of my daughter Gabby and how our cat Cosmo loves to snuggle on her lap.  I was going to color the kitty orange like Cosmo but the white kitty just looked too perfect with the colors....sorry Mo!

INK: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers

Kitty Litter

I haven't played with this stamp in a long time because it requires so much coloring and that's something I don't do often enough!  I have a few Copic markers I received for Christmas and more on the way so I thought I'd try them out.  I don't have experience with Copics so don't look too closely!  I'm going to be taking an online Copic Markers for Cardmakers class so hopefully my technique will improve and I can try posting another card with this stamp in the future.   I used the sketch from Retro Sketches challenge found HERE.  My main panel is rectangular so I made the card into an A2 size rather than square.

STAMPS: Inky Antics Kitty Litter, Honeycomb Happiness
INK: Memnto Tuxedo Black, Copic markers
PAPER: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Cherry on Top DSP, Melon Mambo Patterns DSP, Neenah Solar White cardstock
OTHER: 1/8" Melon Mambo Taffeta Ribbon, Banner Punch, Mini Library Clips

Valentine for My Son

Making a valentine card for a teenage boy can be challenging! I took inspiration from the sketch and photo from Fusion Card Challenge found HERE

I love those clear colorful hearts so I made my own by cutting hearts from Stampin' Up's Window Sheets.  I put a few drops of reinker in coordinating colors on the hearts and enough Crystal Effects to cover it all.  I then swirled the ink and Crystal Effects over the entire heart and covered it with a piece of white tissue paper.  After it dried I trimmed away the excess tissue.  The thread was laid across the hearts and more Crystal effects was used to hold it in place. The black panel and card were cut out with a larger heart Framelit and the thread is secured in between the two.  I made another version of the card for my daughter that I will post tomorrow.

STAMPS: None
INK: Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Tangelo Twist, Real Red, Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Cucumber Crush
PAPER: Real Red, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Perfectly Artistic DSP, Window Sheets
OTHER: Hearts Collection Framelits, black thread, tissue paper, Crystal Effects, red bakers twine, Tim Holtz Celebrate dies

Love it!

Beautiful Ride Love Bug

Back again with a fun card for Retro Sketches challenge found HERE.  Love this sketch!

I made the watercolor panel by starting with a piece of watercolor paper larger than the size I wanted to use.  I held the damp piece of paper upright on a piece of paper towel and dripped lines of diluted reinker from the top of the paper and let it run at an angle.  My finished card is 4 1/4" square.
