Kind Koala Bokeh Style

I'm back with a card for the Paper Players sketch challenge that can be found HERE.  The sketch has a lot of "white" space and I have a hard time leaving that space alone!  I thought I'd fill up that space while trying a technique I've been wanting to play with.  This Bokeh background was created by saturating a piece of watercolor paper with water and adding random splotches of reinkers with a wet Aquapainter.  After the water dried I used various sized circle templates and sponged white craft ink with some circles being sponged lighter than others.  Let me know what you think.

Missed the Mash Up

I missed the deadline at the Friday Mash Up because my mind was shooting for Friday....not Wednesday at noon, which is when I had to have my link submitted.   I still want to share the cards,  so here they are.  I was going to submit the butterfly one because the challenge was to create a card with the sketch and a flight theme but the koala is too cute to not share.

Shape Up for SUO Challenges

This next card was designed for the weekly challenge at SUO Challenges found HERE.   The challenge is to create a card that has a shape other than rectangle or square.....I hope multiple rectangles are acceptable!  The inspiration for my card came from my favorite SVG cutting file website, Birdscards.  I took the idea of her gift box card and made each "box" into a pocket card. The card does not open like normal cards but each box lid lifts up and pulls out a piece of cardstock that can have a sent image stamped on it or a gift card attached to it.  The card is not a typical A2 size and I will have to make a custom envelope for it, the size is 4 3/4" x 7 1/2".  Hope you like it and any feedback you may have, on how to improve the design, I would appreciate hearing! 

  

I was just thinking.... it would be fun to stamp something on the top insert like balloons and confetti.  Or if the gift card is given to buy something specific, maybe a stamp of the intended gift....like a kitten stamp and a Visa gift card to be used to pay for the adoption of a new kitty!

Bling on the Herd!

I made this card for two challenges.  Over at the Friday Mashup blog the challenge is to create a card with farm animals and some bling. Well, right away I knew I wanted to have the farm animals wearing the bling!  So here they are wearing rings, crowns, lipstick, necklaces and nail polish!  This challenge times perfectly with the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge which allows for a large stamp like From The Herd. Hope you like it!

Valentine Topiary

No challenge this time around.  I just wanted to post this Valentine project I completed recently.  This topiary was created with a 3 inch styrofoam ball and 68 rolled spiral flowers. I don't think I want to make a spiral rose ever again!
